Friendly, fast service. Great selection of deli meats, cheeses, and sausages. Since The Alpine Village in Torrance closed, no other deli has come even close. Having grown up with everything "Alpine market" I was truly saddened. When I walked into George's I actually became teary eyed, the German music, the smell of the meats, breads and cheese was just so familiar. Worth the hour and a half drive. My German mother would definitely approve.

When I walked in I was taken back to the taverns in Wisconsin I went to with my parents, the ambiance made me nostalgic and happy. The girls working the counter were as sweet and polite as could be. The food was really good! I had a hot roast beef and Swiss and my husband had the Reuben and he's very picky about those, he really enjoyed it. The star of the show was the German potato salad!!! Omg I didn't get that and was super bummed I didn't but I ate most of my husbands, it was out of this world good! I have never had it before and I'm still thinking about it! Can't wait to go again and try the sausage plate and I'm getting a gallon of German potato salad!

Omigoodness! Where to begin? I love George's Market and look forward to going again! Bf and I decided to go on Saturday, we had noticed it on drives to Tractor Supply. This is a charming gem of place in a small town. I'm from L.A. and bf is from Redlands and he was wondering why he never knew of it all this time growing up nearby. Even L.A. doesn't have a German deli, for all its "cultural diversity", so it was a real treat. We both had the sausage plates, I got the spicy Hungarian, which was so good, sweet and spicy, just how I like it. It comes with sauerkraut, two mustards, two slices of buttered rye bread, with two different slices of cheese (I think Muenster and Swiss), and the most amazing German potato salad. There's beer on tap, and every Saturday, there's live German karaoke music and dancing! Service is so warm and friendly, we even got to meet George! He's such a sweet guy. He greeted us inside the store where they have everything I remember from when I lived in Germany as a child (my dad was a military man stationed in Rammstein) and we lived in Kaiserslautern. I really can't wait to go again!

GETING HERE: Yelp has the correct address listed. Once you navigate here, be aware that parking is a bit wonky (at least IMO). You have to turn into their driveway area right off the road and I didn't notice any parking lines. It was kind of a hodge-podge, but it was do-able. If you miss the first turn, you can go a bit further and park in the little mini strip mall and walk over. On a weekend, this place is hopping! REVIEW: Oh, thank you so much Yelp! I wouldn't experience as many of the neat things I do if it weren't for you! :) I went down to the Riverside/Redlands area and I was looking for something new to see/eat/view, etc. George's Market is so unassuming (not that that's a bad thing!) that I would have driven right past it, not knowing the wonder that is inside. And, speaking of ^inside, if you know you know! I will leave it at that. It's like a whole other world inside and there were many, many people inside looking they were having a great time! The service and staff were superb, and I don't say that lightly. I informed them that I was a first-timer and they were sure to give me the lay of the land. I decided on some chocolate, a few soft pretzels, a bottle of Cherry Soda, and a half turkey/side for my lunch. Their (German?) Potato Salad was OK, but I ^will make that drive back just for their Turkey sandwich on Rye. It was delicious! (And PROTIP: I heard they give samples of (at least) their Black Forest Ham!) I highly recommend you bookmark this and try to prioritize a visit here as soon as you can.

German (and European) deli and market. They carry a variety of meats, cheeses, rye breads, wines, and other sundries. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice biergarten, often with live music. You can also purchase one of several sandwiches or a sausage plate at the deli counter. IMO, they sell the best bratwursts I've found stateside, and the deli meats/sausages are delicious. One knock, if you're not local, the hours can be somewhat limiting. And, as with most German markets, it can be a little pricey. Otherwise, I highly recommend you stop in and check them out.
